A GRACE DRIVEN CHRISTIAN who seeks to be real and authentic, not pretending to have it all
together; an imperfect person who tasted God’s love and mercy, and tries to live everyday with gratitude of
it; father of 6, & grandfather of 5; Preacher; Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers fan; who grew up in
Rittman, Ohio.
I Believe:
❖ The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God in its entirety and that it does not contradict itself. It is
our guide and only rule of faith.
❖ In God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, that they are distinct personalities with distinct
roles but one God, and that One God is the Creator of the universe.
❖ Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Savior, and the Son of God who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless
life, died on a cross and was raised from the grave. He will return as our victorious Lord.
❖ Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ and cannot be earned. It is a gift of God received through
faith.
❖ Faith leads to repentance, confession of that faith before witnesses, baptism by immersion as a witness
to that faith, and obedience to His Word lived out through that faith.
❖ Everyone who accepts Christ has the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit who acts as a Comforter,
Guide, and Advocate.
❖ Celebrating communion together weekly is beneficial for all Christians.
❖ The church, as the body of Christ, is the extension of Jesus Christ on earth. It is through His Spirit that
the church must seek and save the lost in our world today.
❖ Christ is the Head of the church and He has called and gifted men through His Spirit to lead & equip the
church. Eph. 4:11-13
❖ The body of Christ functions as a team ministry. Romans 12:4-5—For just as we have many members
in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in
Christ, and individually members one of another.
❖ Essentially, God designed it so that we all need each other to have a fully functioning ministry and
EVERY member plays an important role. Ohio.

Philosophy of the Ministry
My Philosophy of the Ministry is centered on church growth. Church growth can happen when the body of Christ enjoys worship, is united, and eagerly invites their family and friends to attend with them.
I. Worship.
A. Expository sermons that meet the needs. Thematic and Bible book.
B. Uplifting worship that brings people to the throne of God. Worship leader in control. Thematic & balanced. Use vocal, instrumental, & drama talents of members.
C. Prayer, existing as a church that believes God can do anything. Pray specifically for one another. Prayer Room.
D. Focus on excellence. A positive image in the community. All things are done with excellence. Make the church an exciting place to be.
II. Unity.
A. Team-spirited cooperation among the leaders. Elder/Preacher leadership with a spirit of cooperation. Bath decisions in prayer. Study Scripture together. Men of vision & Spirit-led. Commitment to church growth. Long-term ministry of staff.
B. All member ministries. Find and develop members’ spiritual gifts. Develop Ministry teams corresponding with spiritual gifts. Involve everyone in the area as God has gifted them.
C. Develop small groups beyond or instead of Sunday School. Bible Study. Prayer. Recovery. Discipleship – grooming Christians for leadership. Mentoring – guiding those ready for leadership by sharing ministries.
D. Visitation. In-home, hospital, etc. Fellowship often.
III. Evangelism
A. Sincere love among the Body will draw people to the church. Bear burdens in prayer. Forgive and forget when offended. A non-judging atmosphere.
B. Uplifting worship. Jesus said, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men to me.”
C. Excel in Children’s/Youth Ministries. Parents want their children to enjoy church. Children, who like it, keep their parents coming.
D. Practice the “Come and See” evangelistic approach. This evangelism method turns our present-day invitations to church into genuine, real-life opportunities for others to enter with us into a life of faith in Jesus because we are following Jesus and learning directly from him and want them to share in it.
E. Make “Come and See” videos to us as advertising on Social media and for members to share on their posts.
The philosophy behind any ministry and church should be growth. A unified body that loves and cares for one another and is excited about the church can do this. I would reason that if we can make the church lovable and enjoyable - members would say to the family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers—“Come and See this Jesus”!
